I have discovered Facebook and am slowly getting addicted. For those of you who don’t know, Facebook is a social utility that connects people with friends and others who work, study and live around them. People use Facebook to keep up with friends, upload pictures and share links and videos. It’s like MySpace but much more sophisticated.
It’s been fun to see who’s using Facebook. I am “connecting” to people I haven’t seen in years. So, if you have a Facebook account, look me up!

Over the summer I read a great book titled “Searching for God Knows What” by Donald Miller and have been wanting to post a review of the book for some time now.
Donald Miller is a very interesting Christian author. He writes in a very candid manner and provides insights into Christianity that really make you think. I have a hard time putting his books down when I read them (two years ago I read “Blue Like Jazz” – another great book of his).
Here is a quick review of the book I found on his website: Read the rest of this entry »

Today I went shoe shopping, which can be a very depressing task because of my small feet. Just ask anyone that has gone shoe shopping with me. I have the hardest time finding shoes that fit (and aren’t in the kid section). I could go on but I will just leave it at that.
Anyway. Today while I was shopping a store clerk asked if I was finding everything okay and I told her that if she had more shoes in my size that would help. She laughed as she started helping me look for my size. When she found a shoe I liked in a 1/2 size too big, I tried it on and it didn’t fit. When she saw that it didn’t fit, she asked “have you ever tried a heel liner?” “A heel liner?” I asked in amazement.
After describing what a heel liner was, she grabbed a sample for me to try. I put the heel liner in the shoe and sure enough, the shoes fit! They fit perfectly! I could have kissed her. I was so excited when they fit. The store clerk must have thought I was crazy.
I am so happy I found heel liners. I can finally buy shoes that I like even if they don’t make them in my size. Why have I never heard of heel liners before?! (I don’t think my husband is very happy that I discovered them.)
Watch out shoes, here I come!
