E did well except he did not want x-rays and he cried when the dentist looked at his teeth. The dentist recommended we floss his back teeth. I have yet to attempt that. It does not sound like something that will be easy.
I asked the dentist about fluoride since we drink filtered water and he wrote me a prescription for fluoride tablets. I need to do a little more research before I give them to E. Do any of you give your kids fluoride tablets?
We see the dentist again in a year. Maybe then E will let them take x-rays.
Harmon’s Grocery Stores have the coolest shopping carts. E had such a fun time and didn’t try to get out of the shopping cart once. He said “beep beep” almost the entire time. It was great.
Until….we needed to leave and he saw the entire row of car shopping carts
The other downside about these carts are they are kind of a pain to steer. Especially through the checkout. But still totally worth it. I love Harmon’s!
E has had a lot of fun at swimming lessons. On our first day the teacher said the goal was for the kids to become more comfortable in the water. The kids practiced jumping into the pool and floating on their stomachs. It was a lot of fun. We played games and tried to get the kids to blow bubbles in the water. I think E drank more water than is healthy. Opps.
By the end of the first day, E was walking independently in the zero entry area of the pool and definitely more comfortable in the water. I, however, was more nervous. Good thing they Joey is there to keep telling me “he’s fine”
Here are some pictures from week 3
and videos
We have one more lesson to go. Then I’ll have to find a pool (and time and money) for E to practice his new skills
I bought E a potty seat and when we took it out of the box he wanted to stand in it.
Joey was nice enough to read him the instructions with E and then show him how to sit on it.
I went to the library and got some books for E and some for me.
E can almost read “Potty” all by himself. We let him sit on his potty without a diaper and sometimes he will quote “Tinkle. Tinkle. Toot” from the book. It makes me laugh every time.
E sat on his potty for 30 minutes the other day while we read books and eventually ended up peeing in the potty. Yay. He was excited too.
The other day I was looking for something in E’s diaper bag and he kept saying “Farties. Farties. Farties” and I was clueless as to what he was talking about but then I figured it out
