Week 35

Tonight we attended a trial class at The Little Gym and E had a lot of fun
It was a fast 45 minutes but definitely a great class. Now it’s time to decide if we want to commit to going to a class every week and pay quite a bit of money to do it.

I didn’t take very many good pictures this week so I decided to post a picture of Joey helping E climb the chair
and here’s a video of him rocking in the chair and falling off – don’t worry, he wasn’t hurt

This is a picture of the aftermath of me following E’s lead:
His new favorite thing is to pull the books off the bookshelf. As much as this drives me crazy I try to go with it. We had an enjoyable time looking at one or two pages in each book.
I try to teach the parents I work with to follow their child’s lead and I definitely have to make a conscious effort to do that with E. Today I had to remind myself that messes can be cleaned up and it really is okay to not finish a book every time!

I just can’t get enough of him!

E is growing up too fast!
Here are some 30 second videos if you are interested:

E has a total of 8 teeth now. 4 on top and 4 on bottom.
Having a teething toddler is not easy at times but overall he’s still a pretty happy kid. I thought the only thing we had to deal with was extra fussiness and messy diapers but then I noticed more bite marks on the crib this morning. Grr! So I asked Joey to lower his mattress tonight and E helped.
We also re-arranged his room tonight (we moved the crib where the glider was and the glider where the crib was). We’re not sure if we’ll leave it like that but we’ll at least give it a couple of days and see what we think.
Hopefully a lower mattress means no more teeth marks!

Instead of one favorite picture for the week, how about pictures from our busy Saturday?
I went to the Farmer’s Market with my Mom and Sister to celebrate my Mom’s birthday and I decided to get a Henna Tattoo (the only kind of tattoo I will get). I usually get it on my arm but this year I decided to do it on my leg by my ankle.
The girl added purple glitter after and it made it sparkly. I like it.
Later in the afternoon, E and I went to a birthday party at Farm Country. It was a lot of fun but hot! Poor E’s face got bright red when we were outside.
They gave all the kids cowboy hats and a bandana. E wanted nothing to do with both of them.
E had his first pony ride. I was nervous because I didn’t know how long he would last but he stayed on longer than I thought. This was the best picture I could get while holding on to him
After riding the pony and feeding the animals, we went inside to cool off and have cake and ice cream. Once E was comfortable in the room he had fun exploring

Tonight I opened the oven drawer where I keep most of my pots and pans and E was standing right next to me. I let him explore the drawer while I turned around to do something (I can’t remember what now) and when I turned around, I found this:
Really?! I hurried and grabbed my phone and took a picture. I think it might be blurry because I was laughing while I was taking the picture. I can’t believe he climbed in there. We are seriously going to be in trouble.
